چکیده
In this article, we develop the theory of a special type optoelectronic phase-locked loop (PLL). The output signal PLL is in electrical domain and its reference oscillator, typically mode-locked laser, operates optical domain. uses balanced microwave phase detector (BOMPD). order to model PLL, nonlinear characteristic function gain BOMPD are derived analytically. Using results analysis, an using such developed. Based on theoretical broadband frequency synthesizer with programmable range from 2 20 GHz designed implemented. Phase noise measurements show that achieves integrated rms-jitter (1 kHz-100 MHz) less than 4 fs 5 typical value minimum 3 fs. This first reported wideband achieving sub-10-fs GHz. A comparison best-in-class laboratory-grade synthesizers shows lower any electronic for offset frequencies larger kHz.

Vulnerability to Noise of a Phase-locked Oscillator Array
The eeect of noise on the in-phase attractor of a set of N globally coupled oscillators is studied; these discrete-time maps are associated with the continuous-time equations of motion for a series array of Josephson junction oscillators. We investigate both geometrical properties of the basin of attraction in the large N limit, and the implications of this geometry on the average time for the ...
متن کاملReaching the quantum limit in a fountain clock using a microwave oscillator phase locked to an ultrastable laser
A cesium fountain clock is operated utilizing a microwave oscillator that derives its frequency stability from a stable laser by means of a fiber-laser femtosecond frequency comb. This oscillator is based on the technology developed for optical clocks and replaces the quartz-based microwave oscillator commonly used in fountain clocks. As a result, a significant decrease in the frequency instabi...

A 910MHz high efficiency RF transceiver for Wireless Body Area Network in medical application is presented in this paper. High energy efficiency transmitter and receiver architectures are proposed. In wireless body sensor network, the transmitter must have higher efficiency compared with the receiver because a large amount of data is sent from sensor node to receiver of the base station and sma...
متن کاملUltralow-jitter, 1550-nm mode-locked semiconductor laser synchronized to a visible optical frequency standard.
Using high-bandwidth feedback, we have synchronized the pulse train from a mode-locked semiconductor laser to an external optical atomic clock signal and achieved what is to our knowledge the lowest timing jitter to date (22 fs, integrated from 1 Hz to 100 MHz) for such devices. The performance is limited by the intrinsic noise of the phase detector used for timing-jitter measurement. We expect...
متن کاملDiscrete Set of Separations between Phase-Locked Soliton Pairs in a Passively Mode-Locked Fiber Laser
Passively mode-locked fiber ring lasers and dispersion-managed fiber transmission links are examples of optical dissipative dynamical systems, supporting stable pulses and multi-soliton trains. An example of stable multi-soliton solution with +/-p/2 phase differences, have been predicted theoretically earlier based on the model of complex quintic Ginzburg-Landau equation [1]. More recently, we ...
